about our yoga & meditation retreatLive in harmony with nature while you connect your body, mind, and spirit by deepening your yoga and meditation practice.
Through mindfulness we aim to experience and inquire the relation between body, mind and breath. We examine the way they influence and mirror one another, and to open ourselves to our senses, feelings and mental movements, through all daily activities. The Yoga Dharma practice is approached from the Iyengar yoga method and meditation sessions are guided with basic instructions in mindfulness meditation for the purpose of developing Vipassana - Insight Wisdom. This Yoga & Meditation Retreat offers time for silence for the serenity of the mind and for raising our sense of perception and sensitivity. We'll be nurtured by mother earth, the sea, the wind, the sun and the loving peaceful space. Enjoy eating healthy organic local vegetarian food prepared with intention to your well-being. Yoga DharmaYoga Dharma is the union of body and mind. Yoga practice improves self awareness, health, and increases sensitivity and wisdom. The practice allows as to connect to ourselves and to the world. The yoga Asanas (postures) are beneficial for our state of happiness, as they stretch, strengthen, energize and nourish our physical body. The practice of yoga also strengthens and flexes our mind; it develops mindfulness, concentration, serenity and stability.
Mindfulness MeditationMindfulness or Vipassana meditation is based on cultivating awareness of the body and the mind. During Meditation we observe and witness with a calm mind all that appears and disappears in our body-mind structure. We observe our body, feelings, emotions, thoughts and habits. During practice, concentration, mindfulness, energy and serenity increase, and those factors allow insight knowledge to appear. We call this insight: Vipassana, which means seeing clearly, seeing reality as it is.
