About Dr. Barak MD.
Dr. Reuven Barak is a physician with over 30 years of experience, a graduate from the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School of Jerusalem in 1982. He specialized and practiced General and Pediatric Surgery for 10 years.
Since 1992 he learned Traditional Chinese Medicine, traveling to mainland China for this purpose, and has had advanced studies under the guidance of several renown teachers from all over the world. After his basic studies, and since then, he continues to study, learn, investigate and expand his knowledge on Healing methods constantly.
Dr. Barak lectures in College, Universities and Medical Congresses Worldwide, is regularly invited as a guest to TV shows, Newspapers and Radio programs. In 2005 published, in Hebrew, together with his life companion, Anat Zahor, who is a Yoga and Meditation Teacher, the book “A guide to Healthy Living”, which deals with leading a healthy way of life and gives natural solutions to many ailments.
Reuven has been practicing Vipassana meditation for 20 years, and was ordained as a Buddhist monk in 1999 at the Chom Tong monastery in Northern Thailand.
In his private clinic in Tel Aviv he treats and advices to his patients using his vast knowledge in Natural Healing methods, his long experience in Conventional, Western Medicine, and Traditional Chinese Medicine; Nutrition, and other systems of healing, all of which, when applied together, become a real Integrative Medicine system.

How to conduct yourself before and after the retreat:
In our daily life we collect toxins and poisons. We breathe them, Drink and Eat them, Hear and think them. Modern life surrounds us, with its advantages and drawbacks: The air we breathe is contaminated and polluted, our food and beverages are processed and adulterated, we are exposed to radiation from all around us, and Stress leaves its mark on every inch of our spirit and body.
Although our body knows how to dispose of toxins spontaneously on a regular basis, it sometimes cannot cope with all that is accumulated.
A detoxification retreat is the ideal time to allow and aid us to go into a deeper cleansing.
In our Detox retreat we take over control on the incoming and outgoing of our bodies, by nourishing our body only with fresh, organic vegetables and fruits, rich in potent Antioxidants, Nutrients, Vitamins and Minerals, and aiding the process through cleansing techniques, adopted from Ancient and sage Cultures, applied both to our Body and Mind.Besides supplying our body with Raw green nutrition, we will help the process with various available healing techniques from Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Cupping, Gua-Sha), undergoing a Sweat-Lodge ceremony, and practicing guided Yoga and Meditation, techniques known for their ability to guide energies and fluids within our body, thus helping it to dispose of toxins and poisons, soothing and calming both body and mind.While staying with us you are encouraged to rest, as an important aid to the detoxification process, not neglecting calm walks in the beautiful nature that surrounds us.

· Participants will be served 4 times a day "Juice Meals" made of a variety of healthy organic green vegetables and fruits, or pure water according to their personal plan. Meals include organic juice or spring water, and if necessary- Psyllium husks or Flax seed oil, to aid in toxic elimination.
· Oil pulling therapy, a non-invasive detoxifier .
· Daily morning yoga & evening guided meditation.
· Free Time – Swim, Read, Meditate, Hike, Paint, Relax.

Our Daily Program is simply a list of activities offered to support your detox. However, you will always be encouraged to do what is most appropriate for you. So if you just want to walk, read, or just stay in bed, then we will support you in that.

THE YOGA TEACHER
Anat Zahor is the founder of Yoga Dharma School in Israel where she teaches yoga and meditation.
Anat is a certified Iyengar yoga teacher since 1999, she studied with B. K. S. Iyengar and various senior teachers around the world, also visited the RIYMI center in Pune several times to learn from the Iyengar family.

Born in Venezuela, Chef Maria Laura Quintero obtained her Culinary Arts Diploma at The Institute of Culinary Education of New York and is a Certified Health Coach from The Institute of Integrative Nutrition of New York. Seven years ago Chef Maria Laura moved from New York City to the Town of Amenia in Upstate New York where she has been growing at her organic vegetable garden all kinds of wonderful vegetables and fruits to supply her private catering business.
